Israeli settlers often boast that the West Bank is a model of peaceful coexistence. There is more to the West Bank than the checkpoints, they say. So what is the secret to coexistence?

Avi Does the Holy Land” is back for a second season, and in a new episode premiering exclusively on +972 Magazine, Avi travels to Gush Etzion in the “occupied” West Bank to speak with Israeli settlers about how things came to be so — good?

Over the past year I have been engaged with a number of Israeli Jews and Palestinians over the formulation of a one-state program….Within a constitutional democracy in which all citizens enjoy a common citizenship, one common parliament and thoroughly equal civil rights, constitutional protection would also be granted to national, ethnic or religious collectivities desiring to retain their various identities and cultural lives if they so choose…

To answer Itshak, probably not. Intolerance is tough to deal with no matter what race exhibits it. The consolation is that there are a hell of a lot of Palestinians who don’t fall into that conscience-salving category.

Halevy you remind me of the guy who beats his wife for fifty years and then at age 70 says “what the hell is wrong with that woman, why does she hate me?”

What a disgusting bitchy video. I have a warm friendship with our arab neighbors. I am studying Arabic so we can communicate better. Why don’t you spend some time in my yishuv and get to know us. Leave your agenda home and actually SEE us and our interactions with our Arab friends. If that is even possible…

How does that warm friendship manifest itself, Judy? What do you do together?
