  • Administrative detention being used to push controversial 'terror law'

    A new bill that paves the way for putting Israeli citizens in administrative detention could one day affect activists, human rights workers, and Palestinian citizens of Israel.   • WATCH: Settlers set fire to shed in West Bank village

    A new video released today (Thursday) shows masked settlers setting fire to a shed belonging to Palestinians in the West Bank village of Asira Al-Qibliya. According to B'Tselem, the incident took place only 200 meters away from an IDF post, which is manned at all hours. The shed is located in Area B of the West Bank, under full Israeli military control (the Palestinian Authority is responsible for civil matters in Area B), approximately a kilometer away from the most western outpost of the radical settlement Yitzhar.

  • Report: How settlers turn Palestinian lands into illegal outposts

    A new Yesh Din report examines the use of outposts as a means for seizing control of Palestinian land. The report uses the outpost of Adei Ad as a case study to illustrate the manner in which the establishment and growth of an outpost prevent Palestinian farmers from working their land.  Between 1998 and 2011, the Civil Administration issued 81 demolition orders against buildings and construction work in the outpost.
