Resource: Fact-finding mission investigates 'Protective Edge'

A new report by Physicians for Human Rights, authored by a team of international medical experts, documents shocking testimonies of victims and presents new evidence from Operation Protective Edge in Gaza.

In the course of the armed conflict during Operation Protective Edge in Gaza during the summer of 2014, allegations were made regarding the use of disproportionate force by the Israeli army, indiscriminate attacks on civilian targets, and a lack or failure of precautionary measures. Up until now, external independent experts were not allowed to enter Gaza for purposes of fact-finding and documentation of evidence, either during the fighting or after the ceasefire.

In July 2014, while the attacks were ongoing, Physicians for Human Rights-Israel made a decision to commission a fact-finding mission to Gaza. The aim was to collect and document, wherever possible, information regarding patterns of injury and attack from witnesses and victims. To this end, PHR-Israel recruited 8 independent international medical experts, who were not affiliated with either Israeli or Palestinian parties involved in the conflict. They visited Gaza three times — once during the fighting and twice after.

Read the report. The team had no military experts. It did not try to cover the whole Gaza strip. The group also had no access to evidence regarding the conduct of Palestinian armed combatants within Gaza, and the teams were not able to examine official Israeli allegations regarding misuse of civilian or medical facilities for military purposes, This seems to make their report worthless.

It’s not worthless, great propaganda value and will be used by Schabas.

Does it take “military experts” to find the shelling and killing of those boys on the beach was murder? Or that a hospital or UN facility was bombed? Or that the deliberate destruction of civilian homes and other buildings was unwarranted? You are really a piece of work, Pedro. If you wait too long, like the Israelis do with West Bank investigations of the IDF, then memories fail, evidence is lost, and prosecution or any search for the truth becomes untenable. So, what is your problem? If a building evidences it was hit by an Israeli shell or bomb, isn’t that important? Likewise, if it shows the destruction was caused by an errant missile fired by Hamas as you continually claim? What are you so scared of? Having your hasbara dis-proven and losing whatever little credibility you have defending the indefensible?

“or any search for the truth becomes untenable”

For people like you Mikey, when you talk about Jews, the truth is always untenable. You make it up as you go along you look at the truth selectively and always with a view to deem Jews guilty because to you, that is the natural order of the universe: to you, Jews are always wrong!

When it comes to Jews, Mikey, you wouldn’t recognize the truth if you fell over it, my Nazi friend!

Gussie: In the words of that old show:..”You are the weakest link”… Glad to see you keep following me with your inane insults. Perhaps if you would read my comments you might learn something. Although personally I doubt it. If evidence is not preserved, then miscarriages of justice are sure to occur. Or are you too dense to understand that simple concept. Bye now.

Where did I insult you Mikey? I would have thought that you would be happy to wear what I said about you above like a badge of honor. I said that you hate Jews. Is that not the truth?

Am I just making things up when I say you hate Jews, Mikey?

Nah! Anyone who says things like …

          “Juden Juden uber alles”

That Jews whine about the holocaust…

Anyone who says such things, hates us.

You did say those things on other threads, didn’t you Mikey? And you said it to show your disdain and hatred for us didn’t you Mikey?
