In the last four days, Israeli forces have killed ten Palestinians across the West Bank during protests in solidarity with Gaza. More than 600 have been wounded, and several remain in critical condition.

The biggest protest took place on Thursday night with at least 10,000 Palestinians marching from the Am’ari refugee camp near Ramallah to the Qalandiya checkpoint. Israeli soldiers and border police responded with both live ammunition and rubber bullets, killing one.

Live ammunition was also used to suppress protests in Husan, Qalandiya, Beit Ummar, Al Arroub Refugee Camp, Beit Fajjar, Huwwara and Jalama checkpoint, resulting in the deaths of seven Palestinians. One Palestinian was killed Wednesday in Husan from a tear gas canister that hit his head, and another on Friday by a settler who shot live ammunition from a moving car.

@steven plaut : sounds like you believe you have found the solution : kill’em all! You don’t see that it’s recipe for Israel temrination? Remember Hamas is a Mossad creature grown to counter PLO’s new course in the nineties? How can one be so blind?

    2. I want to suggest that an intifada is about lots of acts of violence. Not what is occurring in peaceful protests. I suggest that peaceful protests are what is coming. And more and more Zionists inability to stop themselves from acting with over the top racism and violence are showing their true colors. The end of Zionism is near, leave that unworkable world view and provide yourself with some self respect.

Do you call firing bullets and throwing explosives a peaceful protest. This is what a number of Palestinians were doing, thereby drawing live fire from the Border police.
