Israeli forces shot B’Tselem spokesperson Sarit Michaeli in the leg during the weekly protest in the West Bank village of Nabi Saleh on Friday. A rubber-coated metal bullet fired from close range penetrated Michaeli’s leg as she was filming the demonstration, as she often does in such events.
She was evacuated from the scene and is now receiving treatment in a Tel Aviv hospital. The video she was shooting is expected to be released in the coming days. A photo of the injury can be seen here.
