Netanyahu in 1987: Shoot to kill stone throwers

The settler’s blog “The Muqata” pulled out this old Maariv piece from the days of the first Intifada to condemn Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who apparently got too soft with the years, at least for the blog’s taste.

It reads:

Netanyahu: Shoot to Kill the Stone Throwers | According to Netanyahu, the Intifada’s leaders should be deported, and the West Bank sealed to foreign media

Still, I guess Netanyahu should be considered a moderate compared to his Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, who in his youth joined Rabbi Kahane’s Kach movement, later to be outlawed for its racist activities.

[The Muqata’s blog entry is a few months old, but I missed it at the time]

it’s all ways comforting to see how little things are changing.
Netaniahu has been a big-mouth fool 24 years ago and still is.
We had a no good premier then (Peres/Shamir) and we have one now.

Rabbi David Hartman, a well-known Jewish philosopher (founder of the Hartman Institute and “Beit Midrash l’Shalom) and “peace lover-Leftist-Progressive” was hit in the head and seriously injured by a rock thrown by an Arab kid and it suddenly changed his view about this form of “symbolic protest”. He said “This isn’t protest-this is murder!”.
Sort of like the joke that says a conservative is a former liberal who just got mugged.
People have been killed by rocks thrown.

    3. People have been killed by IDF bullets as well, they say.

    4. I met a Palestinian man in Hebron whose teenage son had been shot in the head by the IDF because he was near a kid throwing a stone. It is a de facto policy in Hebron that this is a reasonable response. The son was in coma and only got treatment at a proper hospital because the IDF admitted it was a mistake and so took him to an Israeli hospital.

Waleed – I guess they learned quickly from their adversaries:

Azzam Pasha, Secretary General of the Arab League, at Cairo press conference, (reported in the New York Times, May 16, 1948) declared “jihad”, a holy war. He stated:

This will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre which will be spoken of like the Mongolian massacres and the Crusades”.

Jack, in fact there is nothing of the sort in the NYT of May 16 1948 or any of the surrounding days. Strangely it even reports (page 6) that Azzam was in Amman on the day he supposedly gave this Cairo press conference.

      Waleed-
That is exactly the policy Qaradawi of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood stated for the suicide bombers in Israel…kill every Jew you can.

By shit I mean… what ever happened to “smile on your brother?”

What is the use in killing everybody and getting everybody killed. Are people in Africa just crazy fuckers? Haven’t seen this kind of shit hitting the fan since… what the hell is the use.

You all are fucking crazy and are going to get people killed. Please think this shit through. Realize an example is being set, may it be a positive one.

Why do you always reply with a silly childish asnwer Islam bla bla bla , I am talking about the policy Zionists have been working according to since the invasion of Palestine.
Sorry if I hit a nerve , next time I wont discuss the truth.
And if anyone feels targeted he/she can take the first flight to his homeland.

    12. At least then Bibi seemed to be a mental sibling of Prof. Dershowitz. The latter proclaimed not too long ago that IDF does not shoot civilians. Only terrorists. Which makes the equation: Dead Palestinian = Terrorist.
