How one page in Haaretz shows where Israel is headed

Page 2 of Haaretz today was a perfect example of where this country is going to. Remember, this is one page, of a broadsheet newspaper, filled with news that happened over the past 24 hours.

Let’s take a look, shall we?

Lead item: Report: 44% of Israeli Jews support rabbis’ edict forbidding rentals to Arabs

Second item: Rabbis’ wives urge Israeli women: Stay away from Arab men

Third item: MK Yaakov Katz: Bedouin Leaders of infiltrator convoys should be shot in the head

Fourth item: Kadima MK: Russian immigrants to blame for increased drunk driving in Israel

There ya have it folks. 24 hours of racism.

Thank God for the internet. Soon we’ll be needing minute-by-minute updates.

Before you go...

A lot of work goes into creating articles like the one you just read. And while we don’t do this for the money, even our model of non-profit, independent journalism has bills to pay.

+972 Magazine is owned by our bloggers and journalists, who are driven by passion and dedication to the causes we cover. But we still need to pay for editing, photography, translation, web design and servers, legal services, and more.

As an independent journalism outlet we aren’t beholden to any outside interests. In order to safeguard that independence voice, we are proud to count you, our readers, as our most important supporters. If each of our readers becomes a supporter of our work, +972 Magazine will remain a strong, independent, and sustainable force helping drive the discourse on Israel/Palestine in the right direction.

Gee, if Israel commits one more massacre, or bombs one more hospital or bulldozes one more elderly Arab woman’s home, they could lose the moral high ground!!!!

      Wouldn’t want that!

How about we stop moaning and DO something about it?

    5. @Deborah Guth, I don’t think that’s feasible…there seems to be no moderate voice in Israeli politics being heard, at least that I can hear…how do we force the necessary changes when nobody in Israel’s government is listening, and when activists criticize Israeli policy, we are called “anti-Semitic”? I am not a Jew, I am not a Christian, I am not a Muslim, but I am automatically anti-Semitic if I am anti-Zionist…what logic is this?
