Glenn Beck to grace Knesset with his presence

The Jerusalem Post reports today that former FOX pundit Glenn Beck will address the Knesset Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs Committee, ahead of his huge rally planned this August in Jerusalem.

Apparently, this idea belongs to no other than the head of the committee, the esteemed MK Danny Danon (Likud).

I was wondering, what particular pieces of wisdom Beck is going to bring to this specific committee. His knowledge on curbing immigration to America? How to better absorb Mexican immigrants? On efforts, maybe, to convince American expats to return to their homeland?

Actually, Danon has a different idea:

“When we face an international wave of hatred of Israel and Jews – which is expressed in Facebook pages and films calling for our destruction – it’s good that Israel has talented friends that can contribute to our public-relations efforts,” Danon said.

The Likud MK added that the July 11 committee meeting with Beck will focus on September’s UN General Assembly, where the Palestinian Authority has said it will unilaterally declare statehood.

“September isn’t just a crisis,” Danon explained. “It’s an opportunity to explain to the world that we are not occupying anything.”

So there you have it, folks.

Glenn Beck is going to teach us how to tell the world, that we’re not occupying anything.

Personally? I think someone should stop occupying a certain Knesset seat.
