And 'conspiracy' indicates a singularity of purpose - agreement of general principles. There seems to be precious little of that in the inter-war period. Just sayin' And to L Michael D - I don't think that Lieberman has any idea at all how to win elections - he must have very little idea, otherwise he would never say the ridiculous things he does.
