I've looked at your video depicting an israeli soldier kicking an Arab child, the kick which was completely out of character with the IDF was infact administered by a Druze/Israeli soldier who doesn't have any time for any Palestinian/Arabs who have been brainwashed with hatred towards Israel, Israeli/Arabs Druzim, circassians, Christians and especially Jews.

If true what happened to the arab child is wrong, however the child lives, which is more than i can say for memebers of my family who were murdered by Arab soldiers, had their throats slit and shot nazi fashion to make sure that they were dead.
This is what happened to many jews in their arab homeland before they either fled the terror meted out to them or fled. We numbered almost one million, the jewish population of israel is now made up of over 50% of jews from the Arab and Islamic lands. 20% of the population are Arab citizens of Israel, the remainder made up of Jews from around the world.

Mordechai, how is my argument against the ridiculous comparison of numbers of casualties to decide who is right or wrong related to the argument that the Palestinians have strong terror capabilities as demonstrated by 10,000 rockets they launched at Israeli civilians? Do you seriously think that I was arguing against the use of numbers in arguments?...

The only one so far mentioning antisemitism here is you. I didn't say a word about antisemitism. The reasons for the demonization and delegitimization against Israel/Zionism are complex and stem from various different ideological and motivational backgrounds.
In my opinion, anti-Zionism and bigotry against Israel and its citizens is wrong whether it is based on antisemitism or not. I don't have to show that one type of bigotry is another type of bigotry to claim that it is illegitimate - bigotry is bigotry, and this is often the case when it comes to lies, distortions, and demonization against Israel and its people.

Maor-This is a blog of many contributors. Your arguments have been addressed by others here quite adequately. No need for me to repeat the evidence challenging your positions about the relative humanity of the Israeli security forces, the justification of their attacks on Palestinian civilians, etc. You even challenge your own arguments. In one blog you discount the numbers game but then you state that the “10,000” rockets that mainly disturbed the ground surrounding Sderot(no doubt having significant psychological impact on the residents) were sufficient to conclude there is a significant Palestinian military force that is a threat to the existence of Israel. My goal is not to convince you of anything.I am addressing the readers here who are questioning the received dogma about Zionism and its practices.

You appear to accept the increasing isolation of Israel as a product of worldwide anti-Semitism. The world is wrong. Israel is right. Given the birth of Israel was hailed by most of the world powers after WWII, including the socialist and capitalist nations, what has happened? Is the world reverting to its anti-Semitic core? Or have the policies of the Israeli government increasingly isolated it? We have different answers to these questions.I do have hatred Maor, for racism, brutality, and injustice. Unfortunately, there are many who confuse these practices with strength.

I see assumptions in several posts about a possible prelude to this incident. Btselem published a report on the earlier incident on its Hebrew website a couple of days ago that unfortunately hasn't been translated into English. http://www.btselem.org/node/131732

Roughly, the story is as follows: on 3 June, apparently on their last day of term, 9-yr old Abd el Rahman Burkan and his friend were on their way to school, for which they need to go through a checkpoint near Makhpela Cave/Ibrahimi Mosque. According to Burkan, his friend made a rude remark to a policeman as they were leaving, the policeman started chasing them, but they got away. When Burkan came back from school that morning, the policeman was still on duty at the checkpoint and beckoned to him. Scared, he tried to run but the policeman caught him by the collar, threw him to the ground and trod on his hand. The child began to scream, the policeman kicked his hip and told him to beat it which he did. A ten year old neighbor who had seen the incident and ran to tell Burkan's mother. As soon as her son got home, she took him back to the checkpoint to remonstrate with the soldiers. They made fun of her and told her to lodge a complaint with the Kiryat Arba police, which she told them was pointless; someone else told her to take her son to a doctor to get his bleeding hand seen to. She was eventually calmed by a neighbor, returned home and bandaged her son's hand up herself because she can't afford doctors.
.
One morning a few weeks later, a neighbor who is a member of Btselem Video Department's Camera Project noticed soldiers lurking on the corner of their street and decided to film. His video is the one posted above.

Mordechai, allow me rephrase you. It goes something like this:

"I couldn't convince you with any argument that Israeli actions are wrong or that Israel does not defend itself in its actions, so I will try some emotional manipulations and name calling - though I don't have any rational argument, it's clear that Israel is racist, the Palestinians suffer and did nothing wrong, and you should be ashamed of yourself for supporting everything I think is bad. But overall it's not a problem that I don't have any arguments and that I don't have anything to say in response to your arguments - since most of the world hates Israel anyway, and the bigotry against Israel only increases so soon everyone will hate Israel more and I won't have to work hard to spread lies against it".

So overall, you're not making any impression on me nor hurt my feelings. You don't know me, don't know what I'm bothered with and what I don't bother with, and I bet you that I'm personally doing more for the Palestinians, Sudanese and Eritreans than you ever thought of doing. You just feel frustrated that your hate is illogical, but encouraged that hate catches on even when it's not logical.

Maor,I'm happy you sleep well. It would be tragic for you to lose a minute of sleep over the treatment of Palestinians by Israeli security and settler thugs. It is too bad that Palestinians lose sleep due to IDF guns, grenades and bombs. But its easier to deal with when you feel they deserve it, all of them. Maor, your sleep occurs with swallowing the narcotics of power and racism. The problem is that Israeli actions and policies are increasing its isolation, and its hard to sleep alone. Many Israelis have woken up and left. The braver ones stay and fight for a sustainable life for themselves and Palestinians(and Sudanese and Eritreans.)

* That’s not what the soldiers of Breaking the Silence are saying, nor what the Goldstone Report stated *

Neither the soldiers of breaking the silence nor Goldstone in his report compared between the IDF actions and actions of other armies fighting in similar or other conditions. Goldstone actually did agree that Israel did not target civilians in Gaza, of course not in the report of his collaborations with the worst violators of human rights in the "Human Rights Council" for which Syria is trying now to return.
