This woman’s comment and photo are appalling.

However some of the comments about the fact she is religious are equally appalling.

There is terrible racism and lack of tolerance in this country and that includes a few people who believe themselves to be a liberal light to their own arses. They are as bad as she is.

that’s a different story if public figures are saying racist things, but that’s not what this is about- this is catching attention because the issue is a hot one right now, and there is indeed a lot of racism towards asylum seekers and migrants in Israel, as there is all over the world. Nothing you wrote addresses why this is a story worth talking about. It has shock value, that’s all- and it helps some criticizing Israel to make broad generalizations. Israel does enough that is worthy of criticism, as do Hamas and the PA- there’s no need to dig on facebook for shocking things people say or post to fill the news. Just because idiots respond to an idiot and it becomes a meme, that doesn’t mean it’s actually worth paying attention to, or we’re just following the idiots.
