One comment for ”Citizens, Palestinian and Jewish, protest death of public housing“

  1. This “politically correct” insistence on calling Israeli Arabs “Palestinians” causes me great confusion. If Israeli Arabs are “Palestinians” because they consider what is now “Israel” to be part of a geographical entity they like to call “Palestine”, then putting together “Palestinians and Jews” in the sentence above makes no sense. It should say “Palestinian Christians, Muslims and Jews protest together”. If Israel and Palestine are disctinct nationalities, it should say “Israeli Christians, Muslims and Jews protest together”. If you don’t like the religious distinctions indicated, and prefer to emphasize cultural and linguistic identities, then you should say
“Israeli Arabs and Israeli Jews protest together” since they are all citizens of the country called Israel.
