the IDF is already starting to do its own videos. Why? Because the leftists use AgitProp methods tolie and cheat. For example, the leftists didn’t show the Danish leftist assaulting the of the IDF Lt Colonel. The leftists edited the tape to remove that.

The IDF sees itself in something of a slow motion war zone. At best, the soldier will be moved elsewhere. If you take away the videoing by activists, there would be no incintive to alter soldier protocals at all. While I see some good news in this outcome, it is very incremental and easily lost.

And, of course, activists need to video one another if soldiers approach them to remove cameras.

The good news is that the video was admitted as evidence and that the judge felt he could not ignore it. There is some seepage of Israeli rights into the military: soldiers did not damage or take the videos; and someone did deliver the video to the military court; I suspect a Jewish Israeli citizen handed it to some agency of the court.

Taping can work–the concept of a protected space for the citizen with a camera is not dead.
