The same thing is happening within Christianity…False teachers…False Prophets..whom we were warned would come..

the only way to shield yourself from false doctrine..is to know what the Word of God says…

its the only way..

YOU WILL NOT PASS THE TEST UNLESS YOU READ THE BOOK FOR YOURSELF..

THAT IS WHY GOD GAVE US A BIBLE…and destroyed the Priest System..which much corruption was able to come through..

We are our own Priest…our own Teacher…and We are to follow the Word of God..under the tutelage of the Holy Spirit…

Was Jesus Christ Messiah? Thats for you to read about…and determine for yourself..NEVER allow any man to guide you in your eternal life..

God has given you a Bible..and you are to find it for yourself….

Mere men..are no better than you or I..God tells us that our righteousness is like filthy rags to him…None are good…not Priests…Rabbis..Preachers…mankind in general..

Find God for yourself…Because others allow fallen men to guide them…blind guides…this is how many are fallen into the second death…sadly so..

enjoy eternal life..and learn the truth about God and what he said in the Old Testament…which confirms the New Testament..

If you hear otherwise…beware of false teachers…false prophets…

Steve Greenberg please stop parading yourself as Orthodox Rabbi because the Orthodox Judaism i know and belong to has no room for guy, lesbians and their likes. May Hashem forgive you and not count this sin on the Jewish Nation. Pray you to repent and return to Hashem perhaps he will have mercy on you.

Reading this makes me sick. Gay marriage has no roots in traditional Judaism. i which my Jewish brothers would have a re-think of the implications this very act and stay away from it.
gay is undoubtedly un-Jewish and a complete deviation from the command of Hashem

Rabbinical councils have a right to issuing statements in relation to religious same-sex marriage. The problem is when they start issuing statements in relation to civil marriage. Rachel Sacks-Davis, in Galus Australis, has written a very good piece on this subject

It has become very clear that people are born gay or become so at a VERY young age. It cannot be changed. This was not so clear in the past, but new science has established this.

Therefore, in this case, the law needs to be bent, even up to 180 degrees. If you needed to eat oysters for medical reasons (at least for a life threatening condition) you would be allowed to do so. So too, if this is the only way you can form a fulfilling marriage, you need to do so.

It is possible to have respectful disagreement on this very charged subject. At least I hope it is. My only comment is this: Choices come with consequences. Martin Luther, knew he was no longer a practicing Catholic, when he gave up the unimpeachable integrity of the sacraments. Rabbi Greenberg by insisting that his Judaism is Orthodox Judaism, is not taking responsibility for his consequences of his choices. This is a separate question from how he chooses to live his life.

During the 1950s, a good number of YU graduates took Conservative pulpits. Their choice. They realized even though he had Orthodox ordination, it was improper to call themselves Orthodox Rabbis. In doing so they showed respect from the world they came from, without dishonoring the world they chose to go to.
Mu point is, this is not about gay vs. straight. It is about the “structural integrity” of Halacha. I hope Rabbi Greenberg finds peace and is treated with dignity. I also hope he respects and defends the beliefs of others, even if he no longer shares those beliefs.

As Orthodox Jew we should show compassion to a person who faces many challenges in life including forbidden sexual desires.

However, the ceremony that Steve Greenberg performed in the eyes of Steve Greenberg, Yoni Bock and Ron Kaplan, the audience and you tube viewers was than just a simple business partnership ceremony, it was a wedding.

Steve Greenberg is now attempting to do damage control (interview in Jewish Week) by claiming that he didn’t perform a Jewish wedding and still maintain his Modern Orthodoxy affiliation.

Sorry, Steve you have crossed the line of no return and you can no longer consider yourself orthodox.

Whats next? Is this rabbi gonna perfrom shechita on a pig? This is ridiculous if you wanna do something against the torah do it in private and to call this man a rabbi is a shame at best, its discgusting and he should be placed into cherem as quick as possible
