Eretz Nehederet (It’s a Wonderful Country), is Israel’s most popular and most iconoclastic satire show. In a skit from a recent episode, it imagines a Tel Aviv kindergarten class with a curriculum managed by Im Tirtzu, the ultra-nationalist group that last year led a scurrilous campaign against Israeli NGOs like the New Israel Fund and Breaking the Silence.
As a few Facebook friends remarked, it’s so close to reality that one runs the risk of having friends view it out of context and conclude that it’s a real news item rather than satire.

Given the current political climate in Israel nowadays, I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that this is EXACTLY what they are teaching the little ones in Kindergartens all over Israel. I don’t find this funny, as much as I do find it a very realistic representation of the situation.

Its sad when a major satire show only comes down on one side of the political spectrum. We need a FOX News in Israel

Thank goodness Israel’s public televsion has programs that teaches the politically-correct “progressive” values, and only those, as Eretz Nehederet is careful to do. People might get confused if they hear the other side, so it is better to have shows like this ridicule them, since it is inherently obvious that anyone who says things like this must be a moron and/or a fascist, unlike the the “progressives” who make that show. Bring back one-party MAPAI rule! Ben-Gurion always used to say “I don’t know what they people want, I know what is good for them”! Enough with freedom of speech, we need “progressive” thought-control so that we can advance in the peace process so that the rest of the world will finally love (no matter what the death toll ends up being!)

I can just see a “Peace Now” kindergarten:
Teacher holds up a picture of a bombed out bus with bodies lying around it.
Student says: “Understandable Arab rage at the Nakba”.
Teacher holds up picture of Arafat. Student says “man of peace, too weak to control extremist groups”.
Teacher shows Palestinian broadcasting clip of Muslim preacher saying Jews are decendents of pigs and apes. Student says “freedom of speech typical of Palestinian democracy”.
Teacher shows picture of West Bank settlement built in 1980. Student says “the reason for all the wars with the Arabs since 1920″. When inconsistency is pointed out by another student, the teacher corrects them by saying, “no, all the wars before 1967 were due to a ‘misunderstanding’”.
Teacher shows picture of Tel Aviv University in Ramat Aviv. Student says “land formerly belonging to Arab village in Sheikh Yunis who fled in 1948 War also known as “The Nakba”. Teacher corrects the student: “no, this is a progressive insitution whose professors support Peace Now”. Student doesn’t accept and says “how is this different than the West Bank Settlement you told us was the cause of all the wars”. Teacher says “it is different”. Student asks why. Teacher replies “because I happen to live there”.
