Idiots specialize in non-solutions to non-problems.

Right now the real problem is that Egyptian military rulers together with Israel throttle fuel supply to Gaza. In the past there were some issues like who is supposed to pay for that fuel. But right now there is a tanker in an Egyptian port of diesel fuel donated by the rulers of Qatar. But only 1/3 of the needed fuel is allowed to be trucked on daily basis. Allow all donated fuel to come through as needed and electricity production in Gaza can be tripled, with more power in Gaza with less from Israel.

Furthermore, I bet that the balance of power in Israel is affected by Gaza in minuscule way, so if Israel may have a problem, true solutions are elsewhere. ACTUALLY, the best solution would be to change the route of gas pipeline from Egypt so it would supply Gaza, and thus make Gaza suffer any time the pipeline is blown out. And pay Egypt "market price". Simultaneously, Iran offered to supply gas to Jordan, and that would be a good idea. And buy natural gas from Jordan. Egypt has fuel shortage that started the crisis in Gaza and Israel, so actually using that pipeline in reverse (with Iraqi and Iranian supplies, and Israel on the way) would solve regional energy problems in the medium term.
