Palestinians and international activists connect 700-meter water pipes to Palestinian families’ homes in Fasa’il Al Wusta, Jordan Valley, August 17, 2013. Palestinians in the Jordan Valley suffer from lack of water access. According to the Jordan Valley solidarity campaign, Palestinian communities in the area survive on around 20 liters of water per person per day. The World Health Organization recommends 100 liters of water per person per day, and in the Israeli settlements in the Jordan Valley, average water consumption is 451 liters per person per day.
