  1. I think the word colonisation in the last paragraph of the translation is better translated as settlement. Juppé seems to be referring to Halamish.
    .
    That would make it:
    .
‘Regarding the settlement that Mr. Tamimi denounces, I remind you of the firm positions that France has taken in condemning this kind of enterprise, which we have recently qualified as “provocation”. The settlement is contrary to international law and an impediment to peace.’

  3. Quoi?! ‘The settlement is contrary to international law and an impediment to peace’. Et puis quoi encore?!!
    N’importe quoi. ‘The settlement’!
And zou, no more virgule in the first sentence of the paragraph:
‘Regarding the settlement that Mr. Tamini denouces’, magie magie!!
    The French original text is:
“Regarding (la, the) colonization, that Mr. Tamimi denouces, I remind you of the firm positions that (que la) France has taken in condemning this type of enterprises”. La colonisation, virgule, that Mr. Tamimi denounces, this type of enterprises avec un s, au pluriel. It’s a very harsh tone in French, when you say “ce type d’entreprises”, you mean despicable illegal activities.
La colonisation – the settlements in Israelnglish – des Territoires Palestinians: see the previous sentence, “the European support for the right to demonstrate in the Palestinian Territories”.
    Trop fort!!
Must be a local custom, it reminds me that most of right wing Israeli commenters on 972 spend their time puting words in your mouth you never said, critizing you for things you never said, thought.
    Re-writing Alain Juppé!!
Et ben dis donc, qu’est-ce que ça serait s’il était Iranien!!
I don’t advise him to trust Israeli translators.
    Learn Hebrew, Alain, beware!!

    La totale!!

  7. Deuxième tentative, because my comment is frozen. Je pense que c’est dead pour lui, R.I.P. Smells like I cannot write certain words, names. Ok ma poule, on va ruser. Résistance française, remember!
Je disais donc. I don’t agree with your traduction, mon cher SH. Mais alors pas du tout. Allez, on y retourne:

Quoi?! ‘The settlement is contrary to international and impediment to peace’. ‘The settlement’, et puis quoi encore. N’importe quoi.
And zou, no more virgule after la colonisation in the first sentence of the paragraph: ‘Regarding the settlement that Mickey Mouse denounces’, magie, magie!!
The French original text is: “Regarding (la, the) colonization, that Mickey Mouse denounces, I remind you of the firm position that (que la) France has taken in condamning this type of entreprises”.
La colonisation, virgule, that Mickey Mouse denounces, this type of entreprises avec un s, au pluriel.
Ce sont des mots très forts en Français, pour décrire des activités à la limite de la légalité, quand on dit “ce type d’entreprises”. Des mots de désapprobation, restons poli.
Ensuite, c’est la colonisation des Territoires Apache, dans le texte français. La colonisation – the settlements en version israélienne – of the Apache Territories: see the previous sentence, “the European support for the right to demonstrate in the Apache Territories”.
    Trop fort!! Re-rewriting Alain Juppé!!
Must be a local custom, to put in your mouth words you never said.
