@Epstein - you're right, it's all about symmetry and balance of power. Why does Israel think that it has the right to have nuclear weapons and Iran doesn't have the same right? So what if Iran is obsessed with Israel's destruction? it's their right to have every weapon that Israel has. It's time for Israel to give half of its nuclear bombs to Iran. We just simply cannot tolerate it that Israel's is acting on behalf of its interests, and that Israel is on Israel's side!

All these Big Plans Israel makes to attack IRAN.
Are the Iranians really going to take up knitting a jumper while Israel keeps threatening and planning to commit an act of war?

Israel has 400 nukes but doesn't come under any scrutiny by the IAEA.

My personal opinion on the issue doesn´t and should´t count as I live abroad. However ,the argument that , seemingly to Iraq back in the 80 an attack could speed Iran´s program is irrelevant.
Situation 1: Iran IS developing a nuclear military program AND it will threaten Israel... so the strategic objective is there whatever Israel does. In that case, the questions are tactical ( whether , how,when... ) an attack could delay or destroy the plan.
Situation 2 : Iran´s plan is civilian but an attack triggers (a military) plan and/or speeds it up ( as it seemengly did in Iraq)... that doesn´t sound a very "rational" reaction ("irrationality" is a ver popular argument) , an attitutude that can bring further hostilities ( yes.. Iraq´s lesson in the 90 is relelvant ) to an attack that could be prevented by being more transparent
