I just need to challenge Deir Yassin’s fierce denial of the authenticity of that video …

BS … I’ll say it again. It depicts a Palestinian Arab journalist who is well known. He speaks in Arabic and anyone who understands Arabic can hear what he says in his own voice. If they can’t understand Arabic, they can use an impartial translator to translate what he says. End of story.
The accusation that it’s a cut and paste job is beyond ridiculous. You can’t cut and paste such a thing, it would have to be done syllable by syllable. Our Deir Yassin clearly suffers from an advanced case of denial …

Isn’t it funny: on the Palestinian side, people tend to explain the radicalization, i.e. the vote for Hamas (who are soon going to be considered moderate, if things continue) exactly as you: the lack of compromise of the other side.
Yeah, you got 78% of Palestine within your State, 22% under occupation, the land and water grapping is continuing, no other State in the world has as many UN-resolutions against its behaviour as Israel, and it’s still the Palestinians who are to blame.
PS. ‘Sumud’ has nothing to do with ‘intransigent’. You probably know three words in Arabic and it’s one of them. It means ‘steadfastness’ but how come your considering Palestinians clinging to their land as “intransigent” doesn’t astonish me ?

@Deir. Yassin – To borrow your phrase, please don’t waste your time on me by mentioning UN resolutions. It seems you are good at quoting them when they support your cause but good at ignoring them when they don’t. Like you ignored UN resolution 181 which voted for the two state solution in 1947.
But alas, we both have the right to ignore non binding UN resolutions. That’s why there will never be a large scale “return” of Palestinian Arab refugees, nor a return of Jewish refugees to Arab countries. You will find in the goodness of time, or your descendants will, that the eventual solution will be a formalisation of the population exchange that took place.
That’s how such issues were solved in Europe following WW2, that’s what happened between India and Pakistan back in 1948 and that’s how it will end up with us too. End of story.

@Deir Yassin – Trust me, when I respond to your one sided propaganda, I don’t waste my time. Hint: I don’t expect you to change your tune. You are too set in your ways and in your victimhood. And unfortunately there are too many like you, that’s why peace is still impossible.
As far as answering your question, I’ll answer it this way. I used to hold views to the centre right of the political spectrum. But thanks to intransigent (Sumud) views like yours and the joining of the extreme left with your ilk, I am finding myself more and more radicalised towards the right.
Trust me, DY, that trend is not good for either of our people because I am not alone with that kind of backlash. And with this kind of trend, there will be more and more wars and suffering for BOTH of our sides. Sigh …

Just as a side-note: even when people “flee volontarily”, they have the right to return to their homes (cf resolution 194, reconfirmed every year by the UN, and its implication was accepted by Abba Eban in front of the ad hoc commission in May 1949 in order for the State of Israel to be admotted to the UN). Not that I think you would actually care about international law. Keep on spinning.
You never answered why you changed from “Right Wing Zionist” to Bosko. Were you banned or are you only trying to pretend you’re a whole bunch of people. I’ve even come across someone who had four identities at the same time, all of them of course agreeing with one another.

Listen Deir Yassin and I will keep posting it everytime that you pretend that everything that ever befell Palestinian Arabs has nothing to do with bad decisions that their leaders and they made and that everything is the fault of Zionists.
Unlike you, I look at history which has nuances. Do you know what that means? It means that in our wars as in all wars both sides made bad decisions and did wrongs. That also means that I don’t deny the Nakba but I do deny that everything was the Zionists fault. In fact I blame most of it even if not all of it on your side. Listen to that video. The speaker speaks Arabic, not Hebrew and the BBC verifies that he is a Palestinian Arab who admitted that the Arabs told lies that backfired. Live with reality, stop denying everything.

1. The only thing which seems to interest you is the negation of the state of Israel; thus, most of the time your comments are as repetitive and predictable as Hasbara.
ONE, blame & denounce the other side whatever happens in the real world for being the obvious Vilain, TWO, de-legitimize all the claims coming from the other side because no good can come from the Bad Side, AND THAT’ S ALL again and again.
2. The only good Israelis & Jews for you are the Self De-Legitimizing Israelis & Jews. There is no Palestinian leadership’s accountability in the conflict according to you. And you never mention the Arab countries’ responsibility like if the war in 1948 against the birth of the state of Israel happened only in the Israeli imagination.
3. You seem to think what you write will bring one day the Israelis to commit a mass suicid; and you say I’m ridiculous to think it’s ridiculous!
4. Because the only thing you want to say about Israel is that you are against Israel, you always get the same Hasbara’s replies, which are as predictable as yours.

It’s probably impossible to speak with you – and to be fair, with the majority of the pro-Palestinian activists – because there are according to you only two sides, BAD Israel and GOOD Palestine; thus, there are only two kind of commenters for you: the pro-Palestinians who say the same thing as you, and the ‘Zionists’ who should be all be banned from this blog according to you.

As you almost never mention the actual political issues in 2011, because nothing good (apart the call for suicide) can come from the Israeli side and because the only legitimate political goal is the destruction of the state of Israel, it’s pointless to hope your support in the struggle for civil rights in Israel against the discriminations, and to hope your support to fight the rise of fascism in the Israeli society.
