Echoing Matt Graber's comments - thanks for the podcast and please keep them coming - its great to have access here in the U.S. to this kind of analysis and commentary. One small suggestion: use a windscreen on your microphone.

I really appreciate the podcast experience! So good! It's a very rare experience for somebody in the US to get such insight into the Israeli experience.

I'm actually putting together a show with myself and another BDS activist - Radio Against Apartheid - here in Philly on a local radio station, with online streaming.

It's so good to see this coming from +972! Keep 'em coming!

In a society in which the left has been consigned to silly failure, I am very impressed with the (carrer building) minds of +972 willing to speak so bluntly of what they see. Israel is lucky to have all of you right now. No, I don't have any paychecks....
--------------------------
To beat my dead horse: a party calling for a Constitutional Convention as part of its platform would keep the process of J14 alive in memory and institutional setting. Such a call also prolongs the concept/value of debate, deferring the ultimate divisions which any political economy brings. You say perhaps 20% to 30% of those you interviewed remember voting; the call may give them reason to vote, producing an electoral surge.
------------------------
Finally, there is another player on the issue of Constitutionalism. If the Knesset continues its rightist orgy the High Court may well defend itself by declaring the Declaration of Indpendence a constitutional document. I have seen on Justice assert it so, although in lone concurrence. Perhaps better to take the issue up before that polarization happens (my guess, of course).

The most important characteristic of the movement is the development of common cause between Israeli Arab and Israeli Mizrahi and Israeli Ashkenazi.

That potential fundamental change of hearts and minds, precedes political proposal and demonstration.

- If you cannot pay rent or pay half your salary on rent you are not middle class, you are lower class
.
- Joseph's remarks make a lot of sense.
.
- Aziz's statements make a lot of sense
.
- I believe the rest of you are way to optimistic about the protest.
.
- Great to hear your voices.
.
- Try to do this more, Next time, try to invite some intelligent opponents.

We read it, Ze'ev. So far, the consensus is that it's the worst article written anywhere about J14. Noam tweeted about the article here.

And as you will see in the comments following Fromer's article that nearly everyone thought it was nonsense (to put it kindly).

I recommend to all of you to read Yoav Frommer's
article in today's "Tablet" http://www.tabletmag.com/news-and-politics/75270/generation-aleph/comment-page-1/#comment-2188193.
It's the best article published about the current
"protest movement" in Israel
